Have you been considering writing a blog, but aren’t sure how to go about it? Afraid of putting yourself out there? Afraid you will start a blog, spend time writing,
I was too! I kept psyching myself out every time I started to look into it.
Then I ran into the “5- Day Start a Money-Making Blog Crash Course” by Pete and Heather Reese. It’s a free 5-day crash course, so I figured, “eh, even if I don’t get anything from it, I didn’t lose anything.”
I had no idea that my life was about to change, that I was about to start a business (because yes, your blog is your business!)
Enrolling in the “5- Day Start a Money-Making Blog Crash Course” was more than just getting an email a day to encourage you. It was real, step-by-step instructions on how to start off the right way.

If you want to write a blog with the hopes of making money, there are certain things to consider right from the start that I never would have known! Pete and Heather walk you through this in their 5-day course.
They also invited me to their Facebook group that is filled with other new bloggers learning and sharing tips and advice. I learned so much in such a short time! Not to mention the amazing support I found!
If you are even CONTEMPLATING the idea of starting a blog in the hopes to make money, try it out!
Who Would Benefit From the Start a Money-Making Blog Course
Ask yourself these questions, if you answer yes to any of them, starting a blog is right up your alley. For some of these it is an inevitable necessity!
- Are you interested in
alternate methods for making income? - Are you a parent who wants to work from home so you can stay with the kids?
- Are you in the process of starting or do you own a business (photography, PC repair, Logo designing, etc)?

It’s a lot of work to start a blog, but
Business Owners
If you are wanting to start a small business, a blog or website is in your future. A blog is a great way to connect with new customers and promote your business. Most photographers and small business owners that I have come across also have a blog. This is where they showcase their work and get people hooked!
Selling Products
Are you an Etsy Shop owner? Teachers Pay Teachers? A writer? Think of how you find things online that directs you to those places… Usually a blog post. Most people who are successful selling their products have an active blog that they promote through.
As a teacher, I always looked up things like “ways to teach Main Idea” online. The search would direct me to a great blog post with ideas and strategies from another teacher and, Oh, look at that! She has a super cute graphic organizer that she designed to go along with this strategy that I can use! I would click the image and go to her Teachers Pay Teachers store with the super cute graphic organizer.

As said before, it’s free! It’s worth taking a look!

Great post!!! I completely agree with you! I’ve thought of blogging for years and Pete and Heather’s free course and great tips they share was just what I needed to nudge me to get started. I’ve been amazing at how quickly my community has started to grow just in the first couple of months! And of course, I’m super grateful to have gotten to know you!
Agreed! I’m so glad I found this course! I’ve gotten to meet so many great moms to share ideas with and find support!
Great article Meagan! I also took Heather and Pete Reese’s 5 day crash course and learned so much. I am a stay at home parent and wanted to find a way to supplement our income. After taking their 5 Day Crash Course and later their Blogging Blastoff Course, I was able to build a blog from nothing with their step by step directions and comprehensive course topics. If you are looking to start a blog, definitely sign up for the free email course to help you decide if it is right for you. Ü
I totally agree! Starting with the free course is a great first step to just see what it’s all about!
I have never heard of this course but want to take a look at it as it seems like a lot of others agree that its been positive for their own blogs. Blogging has been a great creative outlet for me and I feel lucky. that I get to work from home with it.
It really has been so helpful! I am currently taking the 30 Day Blogging Blastoff (paid course) and it has taught me so many things that I just would not have figured out on my own! A lot of those business parts that we don’t want to think about are covered and they even teach you how to pitch to companies!
I’ve just shared this post to my Twitter account. And yes, if you are a small business owner, a blog will help drive traffic to your product listing, it will build brand awareness and will also establish you as an authority in your industry.
Many business owners want to take their businesses to the world but fail to understand that blogging is a fantastic way to do it in a cost-effective manner.
Thank you, Meagan, for sharing this helpful article.
Thank you so much for sharing on your Twitter! I am so new to the world of blogging but the more I get into it the more I see how it can benefit anyone who is trying to make money in a more “non-traditional” way. I really enjoy your site! It has such great information for a new blogger like myself!
